When the CD arrived, I dropped everything, sat, and listened to this wonderful album in full five times in a row! It's tough to pick a single favorite song. The album was just the trip I needed to take... I wish "Red Beach Harbour" was longer, but great vacations always seem to be over too soon, don't they?
Favorite track: red beach harbour.

So we agreed to release on SOFT once the album she was working on would be completed .
The weeks and months went by and I did not have any news of Julia . She finally decide to re appear to tell me that she was abandoning the music , she no longer had the strength to continue ...
My disappointment was great, but I was convinced of the talent of Julia , I did not want me to give up. So I calmly and slowly convinced Julia of the merits of her work.

In a time of momentary spleen and fatalism, Cavade Morlem emerged as the perfect anxiolytic I needed. Surprisingly, the interludes and narrative parts inverted their typical actors, giving the short tracks the task of building the aquatic features I figure, like sirens in Chort or the oceanic vastness in Lighul, while we slowly infuse our souls into longer pieces reflecting peace and oblivion. Objectively not the best album by Alex Smalley, but still the right one at the right moment. Lovely.

I came to this album (and label) via acloserlisten.com, and picked up the CD--great packaging!--through Stashed Goods. One of my favourite albums of 2016 that can be played at any time: it has such a nice relaxing feel to it that kind of washes over you as you listen. In places (e.g. "Before") it reminds me a bit of Ludovico Einaudi. Great stuff!
